The Coffeebrewer
The Coffeebrewer is best described as a disposable French press.
Inside the pouch is a filter with 26 g of freshly ground specialty coffee.
To brew 3 cups of coffee, all you need is to open it, pour ½ L hot water
into it, and let it brew 5-8 min.
The unique brewing system is designed to preserve the coffee’s natural
oils. This enhances the delicate flavours and finer aromas of the coffee,
which otherwise can only be achieved by using a French press.

Freshly brewed filter coffee,
but why & how does it taste so good?
The Coffeebrewer is basically a hybrid between a filter coffee brewer and a French Press. The design of The Coffeebrewer enables a PERFECT extraction process. The volume inside the pouch allows the hot water to circumflush the coffee grounds and extract the aroma.
The filter will effectively separate the brewed coffee from the grounds and when you have served the first 1½ cup the remaining coffee will be under the filter and the brewing process will stop. This means that the coffee will not go bitter over time like in a French Press.
Moreover, with TheCoffeebrewer you can easily decide how you want your coffee. If you want it mild and pleasant let it brew for 4—5 min. If you want it strong and assertive, let it brew for 8—9 min.
When we say ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, we mean it...!!
Grower's Cup = Grower's Cup
How do you feel about drinking a mixed bottle of no-name wine with grapes from a great many different vineyards? … Yes, exactly! That is why we do not mix our coffees. Every single Coffeebrewer represents the pure and authentic coffee experience from a named coffee-farm or a small Coop. Each and every coffee is roasted in small portions according to the characteristics of the individual coffee and not least with respect for the work carried out by the grower. When you enjoy a cup of “Grower’s Cup” – we would like to think that you from time to time send a kind thought of appreciation to the grower for bringing about the special “coffee moment” which only happens when the taste is truly unique – this is why we only present you with the best of the best!

Environment and carbon footprint
The Coffeebrewer uses more packaging material per cup of coffee than most other coffee-solutions. However, we do not use any aluminum like in most coffee packs. The pouch simply consists of 6.8 grams of paper, 7.7 grams of PE and 1.6 grams of PET. The paper-consumption of using a Coffeebrewer is equal to one A4 page. We get all our paper from reforested Swedish woods. The PE in the Coffeebrewer consists of coal (C) and hydrogen (H2). These materials are not harmful to the environment both in terms of the production process and in terms of waste issues. We expect to replace the PE and PET used in the Coffeebrewers with bio-degradable materials when they are available in the market.
Overall, the Coffeebrewers are many times more environmentally friendly than any PET bottle (ordinary water bottle). That said, it doesn’t negate our responsibility to nature, but given the focus on packaging as the path to reducing carbon foot prints, we would like to raise a little flag and ask for some perspective. Too much attention is often given to the extra little plastic bag in the supermarket, but here are some examples of other things that is harmful for the environment:
- Driving 6 km = 1 kg CO2
- Flying 2 km
= 1 kg CO2 - Using the computer 32 hrs = 1 kg CO2
- A flight London-New York = 25.000 kg CO2
In other words, whether you take the car to pick up a pizza or to go for a walk in nature, one will leave behind a carbon footprint of several kilos. Traveling on holidays by airplane is seriously causing Co2. For example, one trip to New York is more than 500.000 Coffeebrewers produced, consumed and wasted. Therefore a balanced approach is always recommended. Not using packaging materials is a good thing, but if one really wants to contribute to the environment, do not use the car excessively and most definitely – do not travel by airplane!
